    Oregon utility Portland General Electric has completed installation of the largest rooftop solar power project in the Pacific Northwest.The project takes in 673,000 square feet of space on seven distribution warehouses owned by logistics company ProLogis in Portland, Gresham and Clackamas, Oregon.It is the second rooftop solar project PGE has developed with ProLogis, bringing the partnership’s generating capacity up to 3.5 megawatts of energy.
    Financing for the project was provided by US Bancorp Community Development Corporation, while the solar panels were installed by Northwest Solar Solutions, a division of locally-owned Snyder Roofing.Inverters were supplied by another Oregon company, PV Powered, based in Bend.
The project received funding from PGE’s Clean Wind program, which helps fund renewable energy projects in the region, along with the Energy Trust of Oregon, which is providing $2.3 million in incentives for the project.
